Daydreaming
Do you ever feel like your waking life has a sort of dream like quality to it? Not like a good dream, just a little unreal. Like seeing the wires of a floating act. I've been experiencing this sort of existential vertigo a lot when I find myself very wrapped up in my more venal machinations. It's somewhat unnerving, but mostly just kinda a "check yo self before you wreck yo self", which I find comforting. Like someone tapping you on the shoulder and kinda saying, "what the fuck are you doing, man?", as you're about to walk out into traffic. And also, in the dude's voice. There's no real voice, that would be crazy, but if there was: el duderino.
